Membership and Members' Benefits

The Society has a worldwide membership of over 600, which comprises professional and lay musicians alike as well as a majority of those simply interested in music.

Members receive the annual journal (British Music) and a quarterly newsletter (News). The latter contains reviews, brief articles and notices of forthcoming concerts and events; and it also provides a forum for members' ideas, opinions and recommendations.

Additionally, members enjoy discounts on most of the Society's own publications and recordings, as well as other special offers. (Discount rates: Ordinary / Life Members 10%; Patrons 20%).

Membership Enquiries  All enquiries about Society membership should be made to the Treasurer Stephen Trowell (see Contact Us), from whom a free, introductory Membership Pack is available.
